Brew with BruTek
BruTek, by Planatery Design, offers the simplest form of camp coffee. BruTek is a french press made specifically for camping. All you will need is the press, coffee grounds, and hot water. After adding in your grounds and water, press down the plunge to filter the coffee and you’re ready to sip! It’s as easy as that!
Heat up with JetBoil
The perfect partner for your BruTek is JetBoil! The best way to get hot water out camping is with a JetBoil. Instead of packing a pot and pan with a large camp stove, you can skip the hassle by bringing a JetBoil. It is a portable, light-weight, gas powered stove. You can heat up your water for any purpose with this gadget. After heating up your water, add it to the BruTek to brew your morning cup!
You’ve Got to Try Arabic Coffee
Another way is Arabic coffee. Arabic coffee is brewed with coffee arabica beans. You’ll need coffee grounds, cardamom, your JetBoil, and spices of your choice. We recommend cloves, saffron, or ginger. You’ll bring your water to a boil, add coffee grounds turning heat to low, and allow the foam to rise. When the foam rises, remove the heat, add your spices, let the foam rise again, and enjoy!
Everyone Loves Cold Brew
Everyone’s new favorite is cold brew coffee! It’s trending right now for its smooth & flavorful taste, plus it’s easy to prepare for camping! You’ll need a cheesecloth or coffee filter, coffee grounds, and water. You’ll want to create this brew at night, ahead of time, and it will be ready to go each morning. Create a 1:5 ratio of coffee to water, or regulate the ratio based on how strong you prefer your coffee. Add in the water over the grounds, not worrying about keeping them separate because we will filter the mixture later. After the grounds and water steep for 12-15 hours, filter the coffee through the cheesecloth or coffee filter and you’ve got cold brew!
Don’t Forget the Froth
While it isn’t an essential for everyone, it sure is nice to enjoy your morning cup with frothed milk. You can purchase a battery powered frother on amazon or any big-box store, . All you need is your preferred milk, the frother, and a container. Froth up your milk and enjoy it with your favorite camp coffee method!
Whatever way is your favorite, you’ll have great camp coffee and be ready to conquer the day. Have a fun time out Off the Grid, and cheers!
